A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Accounting Services for the Americas, you start your day meeting with direct reports to review transition progress, team updates, and efficiency initiatives. You then align with the Head of Accounting on updates for the regional CFO community ahead of next week's joint presentation. Before lunch, you dive into a major harmonization project with the GL, Closing & Reporting team, and later mentor a top finance talent from the region. In the afternoon, you review KPIs, address key observations, and join a session with the Regional Accounting team to explore improvements in Fixed Assets processes. You wrap up by meeting Accounts Receivable leads across regions to drive strategic tool selection, followed by check‑ins with your manager and a peer.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Responsible for the overall operation of the Accounting Service Centre in the region, which includes General Ledger, Closing & Reporting, Fixed Assets, Bank and Cash and Accounts Receivable.
* Represent Accounting Services with key stakeholders in the regions.
* Partner with counterparts in Asia Pacific and Europe to drive global harmonization and standardization.
* Look after and develop passionately an energetic team that is eager to not only deliver operationally but also keen to continuously embrace change on a local and global scale.
* Challenge and direct your team through ambiguity.
* Your project‑driven design thinking helps you to shape the future of streamlined global processes while you can switch between process deep‑dive and strategy effortlessly.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced experience in leadership of an operational accounting or shared service center.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to drive finance transformation through change management.
* People‑oriented, committed to the personal growth of the team, with a track record of hiring and developing talents globally; passion for process excellence and the project management toolkit to drive such initiatives.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for organization, process improvement and structure. Flexibility to discuss detailed process steps and high‑level strategic initiatives with the same accuracy and effectiveness.
* Experience working in a truly multicultural environment. Finance leadership experience with proven success in leading teams through change‑management processes.
* Fluent in English; open, communicative, and willing to travel as required.
