Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Paid Media Specialist to lead our Google Ads and YouTube campaigns. This is a full-time, remote contractor role that offers competitive pay based on experience, skill level, and geographic location.
About the Role
This is a results-driven position that requires ownership of campaign strategy, performance optimization, and scaling ad spend into the millions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing ad spend while maintaining strong performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and optimize Google Ads engine across Search and Performance Max channels
* Scale ad spend from six figures to multi-millions while maintaining strong performance metrics
* Develop and execute YouTube as a standalone acquisition channel with a tailored strategy
* Ensure efficient budget allocation across campaigns, balancing aggressive growth with disciplined ROI targets
* Forecast performance, scale winners, and pull back on underperformers with confidence and speed
Campaign Strategy & Execution
* Owning the full lifecycle of Google and YouTube ad campaigns from planning and launch to optimization and scaling
* Executing both search and video strategies using Google Ads and YouTube Ads Manager
* Setting up advanced audience targeting, keyword strategies, bidding models, and exclusions
* Building and managing campaigns across multiple products and funnels, ensuring high efficiency and profitability
Performance Optimization
* Analyzing campaign data daily to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and uncover opportunities
* Optimizing key metrics including CTR, CPC, ROAS, conversion rate, and CPA
* Rapidly testing and iterating on creatives, headlines, calls to action, and landing page combinations
* Collaborating with our creative team to brief and test new video and static assets
Requirements
* 5+ years running paid Google and/or YouTube campaigns
* Proven experience managing a minimum of $1 million dollars of ad spend in Google and YouTube
* Proven experience growing ad spend
* Proven track record of scaling performance with ROAS and CAC accountability
* Deep understanding of Google Ads platform, YouTube Ads, and audience segmentation
* Strong data literacy and ability to interpret performance metrics to drive decision-making
* Experience with attribution models and tracking setups (GA4, UTMs, etc.)
* Comfortable writing or editing ad copy for performance, not just branding
* Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
* Experience using tools like Google Ads Editor, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, etc.
