This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Agile Software Development Manager to lead a dedicated function serving global markets.
The successful candidate will manage a medium-sized team comprised of developers, QA and Product Owners who will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of key projects in line with the roadmap.
As a SW Development Manager, you will receive training with overseas development teams as well as on product and processes. This role offers opportunities to develop your career and take on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead team meetings and leverage resources to boost work capacity by mentoring members through 1:1 goal setting and performance reviews sessions.
2. Provide direction to Project Management and Development staff by acting as a liaison with Project Managers and Service Delivery Managers in stakeholder management – both external & internal customers, working towards the roadmap and ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
3. Process Management and Improvement while also managing the Engineering Practice and best applications for Agile development and delivery.
4. Promote team building, empowerment, engagement and maintain a sustainable pace with high quality and innovation while managing development teams in Agile/Scrum methodology to meet delivery deadlines.
5. Manage the SW Development Team in support of building our billing system and data management tools as a key leader in implementing full lifecycle of cloud development products as well as conduct R&D for the product based on business needs.
6. Work with Leadership and Talent Management to include hiring and growing SW development talent, manage team development, training and take on team commitments to ensure future success.
A university degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent related experience in a proven Software Development leadership environment is required.
Your 3 to 5+ years of previous management and relevant experience in a SW Development Manager role includes a solid understanding of SDLC and Scrum/Agile methodologies, and ideally a certified Scrum Master.
