About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Podcast Audio Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for detail and the ability to enhance podcast audio files.
The Podcast Audio Editor will be responsible for editing raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes. This includes removing filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents; improving pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent; restructuring sections when needed based on how questions were answered; inserting intro/outro music, sponsor reads disclaimers or updates when required; following embedded audio notes carefully; delivering clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline; producing 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use.
This is a contract remote role that requires close collaboration with the content team to maintain brand consistency and meet deadlines efficiently. Strong communication skills are essential in this position.
Requirements
1. Proven experience editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style)
2. Strong editorial judgment – knowing what to cut and why
Familiarity with tools like Descript Adobe Audition Pro Tools Logic /or similar
