Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in Oil & Gas subsea equipment design to support ongoing offshore and EPCI-related projects in Rio de Janeiro. Although contracts are structured annually due to procurement requirements, this is a long‑term opportunity within a strategic subsea engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical part and assembly design, particularly in deepwater subsea applications, and must be comfortable working 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies for subsea and offshore equipment.
Support EPCI and Installation Aids projects for offshore operations.
Perform detailed 3D modeling and 2D drafting using SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools).
Ensure designs comply with manufacturing, safety, and offshore operational standards.
Apply GD&T principles in mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning).
Support installation feasibility and structural adequacy in offshore environments.
Contribute to cost reduction, operational efficiency, and safety improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
7+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
Proven experience in Oil & Gas subsea equipment design (deepwater preferred).
Strong background in mechanical part & assembly design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling & 2D drafting).
Solid understanding of GD&T.
Experience working in offshore or subsea environments.
Availability to work 100% onsite in Rio de Janeiro.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with deepwater subsea systems (e.g., WCT, VCM, TH, PLET, PLEM, UTA).
Exposure to EPCI projects and offshore installation support.
Experience with SAP or engineering documentation systems.
Advanced English.
