Job Title: Technical Support Specialist - Application Expertise
About the Role:
This is a fully remote position working East Coast hours. As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be liaising between IT and business stakeholders to support complex application needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in architectural discussions to evaluate proposed solutions. Responsible for the support and implementation of solutions, ensuring successful introduction across the organization and with clients. Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed. Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required. 5+ years of related Production support experience required. Programming/Scripting Skills in Java, Python, C++, Django etc. Experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools. Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work with Global Teams, and growth mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean is a plus. Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo preferred but not a must. Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, ITIL, Service Management preferred.
Day-to-Day Activities:
As a Sr. Application supports individual, you will provide technical direction and guidance for a wide array of application / infrastructure activities supporting the business applications, processes & procedures across the enterprise.
