Are you an artist looking for a unique opportunity to showcase your creative process? The Common Lives Project is seeking artists to record their daily routines as part of an innovative data collection initiative.
About the Project
This project aims to train AI to understand creativity, hands-on collaboration, and real-world artistic routines. By participating, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of human-centered AI research.
Responsibilities
* You will wear a head-mounted camera to capture your daily activities for 5 separate days within a 2-week window.
* You must record a minimum of 7 hours per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy.
* At the end of each day, you will spend around 2 hours to:
* Upload your footage to a secure platform.
* Review short clips.
* Choose to delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment.
Household Requirements
* No children (under 18) must be present or visiting during the recording period.
* All adults in the space must be fluent English speakers and consent to being recorded.
* Your living space must be private and self-contained.
* All household members must agree to appear in the footage.
Participant Requirements
* You must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles.
* Participants who share the same workplace or household should both have a camera mounted during the activity.
* You should preferably engage in manual or creative work.
* You must be self-employed or have employer consent to record in the work environment.
* You must be able to use a computer for basic tasks such as reviewing and uploading video clips.
