Patent Project Manager
The role of a Patent Project Manager is to oversee and manage patent filing requests. This involves coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
This position requires strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities. The successful candidate will have experience managing complex projects and be skilled at training internal and external users in workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Initiating responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitoring assigned cases and ensuring deadlines are met.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Succesful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
About the Role:
This full-time, remote position requires a commitment to working Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm PST. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
