Job Purpose. The PD Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of products and materials specifically for product development (PD) projects. This role ensures that all materials required for new product designs and prototypes are sourced on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the development of new components for new products as well as for modification of current products with the respective commodity, managing similar components with the goal of reducing costs and investments.
* Direct influence on investments, costs, and deadlines of projects, directly affecting the company's results.
* Participate in initiatives to reduce costs, investments, and optimize deadlines, optimizing the company's results.
* Solve problems related to deadlines, cost overruns, and investments with proper action plans to minimize impacts.
* Knowledge of warranty costs and non-quality, contributing to actions to minimize them.
* Influence on the platform to anticipate and prioritize actions to optimize customer results.
Experience Required
* Higher education in Engineering or related fields.
* Experience in the Purchasing area, preferably in product development.
* Advanced English.
