Roles and ResponsibilitiesOversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Azure SQL Managed Instances, ensuring high availability and performance.Analyze and optimize long-running queries, index strategies, and execution plans to improve database performance.Diagnose and troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of problems.Lead efforts to migrate on-premises SQL Server environments to the Azure cloud, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to the business.Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery processes, backup strategies, and high availability solutions in line with industry best practices.Ensure the security of the database environment, including managing access, monitoring for security vulnerabilities, and implementing encryption protocols.Develop scripts and automation to streamline database management tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and scaling operations.Collaborate with other teams, including cloud architects, developers, and DevOps, to support infrastructure projects and ensure the seamless integration of database solutions.Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, procedures, and runbooks.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with at least 3 years focusing on Azure cloud environments.Proficiency in administering, configuring, and optimizing Azure SQL databases.Demonstrated experience in analyzing and optimizing SQL queries, indexing strategies, and execution plans.Strong problem‑solving skills for diagnosing database issues, performance bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions.Hands‑on experience with migrating on‑premises databases to the Azure cloud, including strategies for minimal downtime and data integrity.Proven ability to design and implement disaster recovery plans and ensure high availability of cloud database systems.Proficient in using PowerShell, T‑SQL, or other scripting languages to automate database management tasks.Knowledge of database security practices, including encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management.Azure certifications are nice to have.What We Offer100% Remote Work, hiring from North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Brazil.PaidOvertime as neededOpportunity ToLearn & Develop New SkillsOpen & Collaborative Work EnvironmentGenerous Compensation based on Industry Standards + BenefitsWorking Hours9am - 5pm ESTCompensationPay: R$3, per month
