Purpose of the Job
Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Project Manager provides after-sales service, coordinating the administrative, contractual, technical, and commercial aspects of field service projects from inquiry to final billing and collection. The role involves producing service income, managing multidisciplinary projects involving multiple products and departments, and possibly supervising on-site project management for installation, commissioning, overhaul, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Background / Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with 10-15 years of relevant experience in field service project management, especially with turbines, compressors, and related equipment. Must have technical knowledge, supervisory skills, and excellent communication abilities, including proficiency in English and MS Office tools.
Specific Job Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of projects.
* Review inquiries, conduct site surveys, prepare proposals, and support sales presentations.
* Coordinate labor and resources, supervise subcontractors, and manage project timelines and budgets.
* Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
* Handle project invoicing, collections, and client relations.
* Contribute to product and process improvements and support training programs.
This role requires approximately 50% travel and demands strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with technical expertise in rotating machinery and project management.
