About the position As a Bookkeeper Level I, you will beresponsible for performing fundamental bookkeeping tasks andproviding support in maintaining accurate financial records for ourclients. You'll handle accounting duties and assist in ensuringthat financial transactions are recorded, reconciled, and reportedin a timely manner. Your main responsibilities Keep up to date thegeneral ledger of customers, including recording financialtransactions accurately and timely. Reconcile bank and credit cardstatements with the general ledger, identifying and resolving anydiscrepancies. Enter costs, expenses, and COGS into the accountingsystem, ensuring proper coding and classification. Prepare incomestatements and balance sheets on a regular basis to provideaccurate financial information. Provide accounting support tointernal stakeholders, answering questions and providing assistanceas needed. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles,regulations, and tax standards. Keep up to date with currentaccounting and tax standards, attending professional developmentsessions or courses as necessary. Collaborate with other teammembers to streamline and improve bookkeeping processes andworkflows. Maintain organized and accurate financial records,ensuring proper documentation and filing. Minimum knowledge, skillsand abilities required Education and Experience: Advanced Englishand Portuguese;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or arelated field;
3+ years of experience working with US bookkeeping;
Practical knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
Exposure to managing multiple client accounts simultaneously isbeneficial. Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in accountingsoftware (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.);
Ability to accurately recordfinancial transactions and maintain ledger entries;
Understandingof financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balancesheets;
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry andrecord-keeping;
Ability to spot discrepancies and rectify errors infinancial records;
Clear and concise communication skills tointeract with clients and gather necessary financial information;
Excellent organizationalskills to manage financial documentssystematically. Efficient time management to meet deadlines andhandle multiple client tasks simultaneously. Analytical skills toreconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and financialrecords. You’ll stand out if you… Have worked in a startup orfast-scaling environment;

Schedule Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm(East-time) The position is full-time, which means that you must beavailable every working day between 9 am and 5 pm EST due totime-zone changing according to Daylight saving time in the UnitedStates.
