We provide end-to-end project services and have delivered over 200 successful Murex projects across all major asset-classes and sectors, including investment banking, asset management, corporate treasury, and insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Environmental Operations Specialist
* Deploy and manage Murex software needed for Murex client projects using Murex tools and scripts.
* Perform basic smoke tests before delivering the needed products.
* Act as a first-level support for already deployed Murex products, re-directing and following the issues with the corresponding support teams.
* Perform system health checks and diagnostics (RAM, CPU, processes, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
* Automate routine tasks.
Database Conversion Expertise
* Perform database sanitization and purging procedures.
* Migration sequence execution and stabilization.
Methodology Development
* Contribute to creating the environment and configuration management methodologies, conversion processes, communication workflows, and needed templates and documentation.
* Customize and document the installation and the conversion/upgrade procedures.
* Deliver training and best practices for Murex Clients and project teams.
* Manage internal streams: contribute to creating tools, measure related KPIs, and analyze potential issues.
Collaboration and Capitalization
* Ensure good collaboration with the project team.
* Ensure good collaboration with customers.
Required Skills
* Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology Engineering (or related discipline).
* Experience with scripting languages.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Strong communication skills.
* Knowledge of technical machine specifications.
* Knowledge of XML manipulations.
* Knowledge of UNIX Operations with hands-on expertise in command-line operations.
* Knowledge of RDMS Operations.
* Understanding of the Financial markets.
Essential Requirements:
* Strong working knowledge of Murex Configuration and Environment Management
* Strong knowledge of scheduler software (e.g., Tidal, Autosys, JAMS)
* Good understanding of MXTest
* Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, EQD, FXD
* Good understanding of Workflows, Operations, Fixings process, Confirmations, and Trade Life Cycle
* Strong functional and technical understanding of Murex
* Good knowledge of post-trade interactions between various capital market actors.
Must-Haves:
* Previous experience, min 2yrs, with Murex Environment Management
* MXTest Module (a plus)
* Strong personality, logical and analytical skills
* Be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter
* Possess good verbal and written communication skills
* Must have strong organization skills
* Good SQL, Unix, Scripting, Sybase and Oracle skills
