Project Coordinator - Automotive UX Study
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive project coordinator to lead a fast-paced automotive user experience study in Sao Paulo. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a solid technical toolkit, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
About the Role
This is a 3-month contract position, working approximately 40 hours per week. The role involves day-to-day study operations, assisting with moderating in-vehicle research sessions, and providing light device/IT support.
* Orchestrate day-to-day study operations, ensuring seamless execution of the project plan.
* Assist in moderating in-vehicle research sessions with local drivers, capturing high-quality data.
* Provide light device/IT support to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Coordination:
* Build and own the project plan, working closely with the Ops Manager and UX Research Lead.
* Run stand-ups with distributed teammates (US, Brazil, India).
2. Field & Research Execution:
* Moderate ~2 weeks of in-vehicle sessions in Sao Paulo, guiding participants through tasks and capturing high-quality data.
* Translate consent forms, short surveys, and session notes between Portuguese and English.
3. Technical & Logistics Support:
* Prep, track, and recover equipment used to execute study.
* Troubleshoot participant hardware, connectivity, and account issues; escalate edge-case bugs to engineering via JIRA.
* Document and iterate on SOPs, and data ingestion for future Brazil-based studies.
Requirements
* Residence/Work Authorization: Based in the greater Sao Paulo area; legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in Brazil.
* Language: Native-level Portuguese and professional-level English (spoken & written).
* Experience: 3+ years in project coordination, research operations, UX research, or similar.
* Comfort diagnosing common hardware/connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, Android/iOS devices, Bluetooth peripherals).
* Tools: Google Workspace, project-management suite (Asana/JIRA), basic spreadsheets; willingness to learn proprietary research platform.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, proactive communication, unflappable in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
