Cloud Application Developer/Python Expert
We are seeking an accomplished Python developer to join our team and support the development of new tools and processes for a cutting-edge on-prem private cloud application.
* Design and implement high-performance cloud and container technologies primarily leveraging Python as the primary programming language;
* Deliver high-quality solutions and code that meet industry standards;
* Develop unit tests to improve the software development life cycle (SDLC);
* Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile software development environment;
* Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform used to deploy private cloud platforms, focused on 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.
Requirements:
* A strong background in backend development (preferably in Python), with knowledge of Linux Essentials:
* Moderate understanding of hardware concepts, processes, programs, and Linux operating system components;
* Familiarity with working on the command line and handling files;
* Ability to create and restore compressed backups and archives;
* Knowledge of system security: users/groups and file permissions for public and private directories;
* Experience with creating and running simple scripts;
* Strong computer networking knowledge, including transport layers (TCP/UDP/etc.);
* Familiarity with cloud computing concepts;
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively across remote teams and time zones, and with Senior Technical Leaders;
* Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab, and code review tools;
* Hands-on experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Linux Containers, etc.);
* Proficiency in Kubernetes Cluster Administration (designing infrastructure involving one or more Kubernetes clusters, configuring, controlling, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters);
* Hands-on experience with Docker and Helm.
