**Job Description**:
Can you guide Fortune 500 retailers into the next generation of digital commerce, marketplace, and platform business strategy? Can you define and clearly communicate strategies for business & technology transformation? Are you experienced across multiple retail and distribution functional areas? Can you identify and address the priorities and concerns of various executive stakeholder roles at retail or B2B distributor clients? Can you create and optimize financial models based on multiple business variables?

Can you map a transformation vision into a tangible roadmap with business and technology milestones and dependencies? Are you highly self-motivated and love working on complex strategy engagements across multiple industries? Can you collaborate with a global team of cross-disciplinary experts?

**Responsibilities**
- Top five responsibilities_

1. Define, lead, and deliver digital commerce marketplace strategy engagements for retail and other industries
2. Draw on retail, ecommerce, marketplace, and other industry best practices to provide clients with transformative strategies
4. Develop professional work products (PPT, DOC, XLS) from start to finish (from brainstorming and framework development to final edits and end-product) and present to client executives
5. Support business development and some marketing efforts

- Develop trusted advisor relationships with client executives
- Facilitate and support financial modeling and business case development
- Develop impactful data and conceptual visualizations
- Communicate effectively with a high degree of collaboration and influence
- Work effectively across functional teams to understand business and feature requirements
- Exemplify quality standards in work products as error-free, client-ready deliverables
- Develop communications for internal and external client stakeholders
- Help develop industry and marketplace solution thought leadership content

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
- Interest in and passion for driving innovation and digital transformation for our clients
- Deep domain knowledge of eCommerce, retail eCommerce, and retail performance metrics
- 5+ years of management consulting in one or more of the following areas: retail eCommerce strategy, digital transformation, business analysis, ecommerce, platform business concepts
- Experience with various retail functions including merchandizing, category management, inventory management, assortment planning, supply chain management, cross-channel integration, competitive analysis, digital marketing, vendor management, returns processing, etc.
- P&L ownership of various retail functions or business units / categories
- Expertise in catalog expansion strategies and category & product management
- Experience in various industries such as general merchandise, fashion / apparel, grocery, Food & beverage / CPG, home goods, electronics, health & wellness, etc.
- Experience with ecommerce functions like digital marketing, SEO / SEM, site search, journey mapping, CX usability,
- Demonstrated experience developing winning business strategies for past clients
- Experience providing deliverables for large complex client engagements
- High degree of comfort working in unstructured situations and a proven ability to maintain poise, maturity, and work well under pressure
- Solid verbal communication and narrative development skills, with the ability to summarize and convey key insights from analyses to senior audiences
- Nice to have: Experience at a leading management consultancy like McKinsey, Bain & Co, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Kearney, Deloitte Consulting / Deloitte Digital, Accenture, EY-Parthenon, etc.
- Nice to have: Experience at a leading marketplace operator or platform business like Amazon, Alibaba, eBay, Etsy, Mercado Libre / Mercado Livre, Walmart, Instacart, Uber, Instacart, AirBnB, DoorDash, Rakuten, Apple, Google, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team structure and possess proven team leadership skills
- Advanced proficiency with: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally analytic tools, such
