Senior Demand Planner – FMCG (Position is based in Angola)

You will be joining a well-established market leader, large group with diversified businesses portfolio, reporting to the Demand Planning Manager and responsible for the following:
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for decision-making
Analyze sales data and market trends to improve forecasting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on factors that impact demand
Monitor sales and refine forecasts based on changing conditions
Communicate forecast updates to supply planning teams
Take ownership and proactively address data quality issues
Create, maintain, and manage visual data tools for leadership
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze historical sales data to identify trends and patterns that can be used to improve accuracy of future forecasts
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to gather information on upcoming promotions, product launches, and other factors that may impact demand
Develop statistical models and algorithms to create accurate demand forecasts for different product types
Continuously monitor and track actual sales performance against forecast and make necessary adjustments to the forecast as needed
Communicate forecast recommendations and updates to stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership
Ensure that any add/delete items are promptly updated in the system to avoid impacting forecast accuracy
Work with IT and Analytics Data teams to ensure that demand data is available on time for extract and analysis
Validate that sales forecast is pulled into the correct line
Notify the BI team to push data on time to ensure that reporting and analysis can be done in a timely manner
Publish LE (latest estimate) forecasts and other relevant reports to keep stakeholders informed of demand trends and performance
Develop and maintain demand planning dashboard to provide real-time visibility into forecasting and demand planning metrics. As well as be able to generate reports and visualizations to communicate forecast accuracy, demand trends, and potential risks to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making
Monitor forecast accuracy and identify areas of improvement to enhance the reliability and precision of demand planning
Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing the demand planning dashboard, ensuring widespread adoption and utilization across the organization
Key Requirements:
Willing and able to work in Angola
Bachelor's Degree as a minimum in relevant field including Finance, Math or Engineering; MBA and/or other professional qualifications are highly preferred
4+ years of Demand Planning experience in a large organization
Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory / production planning
Proficiency in using demand planning and forecasting tools is necessary
Proficiency in using forecast accuracy KPIs
Strong experience with ERP and demand planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, Anaplan)
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and demand modeling
Solid understanding of distribution networks, inventory management, and supply chain dynamics
Familiarity with S&OP processes and cross-functional planning
Proficiency in analyzing large sets of data and using data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and insight
Prior FMCG experience will be a plus
Ability to influence the decision makers
