Editors add value to client work through native content and strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about using editing skills to tell compelling stories and help our customers grow their businesses.This is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone and is open to candidates based in Brazil, Portugal, and Spain.Who You AreExperience creating platform native content (including video content and organic content), especially IG Reels, Meta ads, and TikTok viral video campaignsExceptional time management and organization skills with the ability to manage deliverables across multiple brandsStrong Motion Graphics/Graphic Design/Typography skillsProficient in Adobe Premiere Pro + Final Cut Pro X (FCPX)Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Media Encoder, After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop)Familiarity with broadcast finishing workflows (mix, color, VFX, conform, online)Familiarity working in a networked server environmentStrong technical knowledge of codecs and transcoding practicesStrong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skillsProficient with animation/graphic designWhat You'll DoYou will be editing UGC-style videos in a variety of content formatsDevelop and execute thumb-stopping social media video edits, layer audio seamlessly and overlay text that drives key brand messagingBrainstorm inventive edits and hooks that drive engagement, leverage new formatsStay current on all social media platforms, ad offerings, content publishers, tools, trends, and best practicesBe a creative collaborator: have the ability to be the voice of the brand and the influencer to create content authentic for all channelsBe comfortable using video editing software, editing audio, and taking editing direction in a fast-paced environmentProvide accessible content that includes closed captioning, voiceover, and overlay text in a variety of aspect ratiosSet up projects for edit staffIngesting and logging footageWork in tandem with edit staff to meet deadlinesEditing lower-level projectsMaintaining media storage (hard drives, servers, GDrive)Mastering deliverables and archiving projectsAssisting senior staff with edit and administrative needsVersioning various aspect ratios of completed editsMaintaining all software and assets (Mac OSX, server OS, frame.io, Vimeo, shared assets)Coordinating and troubleshooting edit equipmentReporting to the Post-Production Supervisor and Producers; produce high-quality video edits spanning various media platforms as requestedPerformance creative editing in collaboration with the performance marketing team reviewing ad analytics/performanceWorking at DarkroomDarkroom is not a typical agency.
