Senior Engineering Manager - Device Orchestration

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership Execution
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Manage team workload, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality software.
Conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and support career development.
Minimize roadblocks and maximize productivity, engagement, and fulfillment across the team.
Architecture Technical Strategy
Define and enforce architecture standards, secure coding practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Lead solution reviews and oversee implementation quality across Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#, and Kafka‑based systems.
Drive cloud‑native development on AWS (experience with Azure is a plus), ensuring availability, resilience, and scalability.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align technical objectives with business goals.
Platform Development Operations
Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of orchestration services and device management capabilities.
Ensure platform performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Monitor system health, resolve issues, and implement preventative measures.
Collaborate with operations teams for smooth delivery and support.
Cross‑Team Collaboration
Engage with peer managers and engineering leads across Lenovo’s engineering organization.
Ensure development efforts meet internal and external customer needs.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.
Proven experience delivering enterprise‑grade applications using Angular, Java, Spring Boot, C#, Kafka, and AWS (Azure experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of software architecture, secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Experience with cloud‑native development and microservices.
