Regional R&D Manager - Front End Innovation - Adult & Feminine Care
This is a position for a Regional R&D Manager - Front End Innovation - within the Latin America organization who will work on product development projects supporting Feminine and Adult Care.
This professional will be responsible to lead and conduct long-term innovation pipeline as well as future technology and product development, aligned with brand architecture, as well as consumer research, prototyping trials and factory startup of innovations.
Must have an innovation profile, strategic vision, business holistic understanding, team leadership and talent development skills, project management skills, great positive stakeholders management, fostering global connections, and strong decision making skills.
This professional MUST be always updated on technology landscape and business trends related to feminine and adult care.
Mean Responsibilities:
- Idealization and Product Development
Work closely with marketing and global research & development teams to generate ideas to develop new products and improve existing products, keeping in consideration product cost, engineering feasibility, product safety, legal, process capability, material availability etc. Rapid prototyping when needed.
Work closely with Latin America sector leaders, as well as regional and country marketing teams to understand consumer and market trends and identify future product opportunities to the innovation roadmap in the market.
- 2) Portfolio & Project Management
Seek and Identify and prioritize projects with potential incremental net sales for the company. Develop alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints, and organizational values to maximize results.
Establish courses of action of self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently.
Influence organization on area strategy. Lead himself proactively and always within KC Ways of Working
- 3) Team leadership
Successfully lead Front End Innovation team, within Feminine and Adult Care organization, with 2 members.
Influence organization leaders strategy to achieve team objectives.
Budget management and control. Managed discretionary budget of more than USD 500K.
- **Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in major scientific discipline (such as chemical engineering, chemistry, polymer chemistry, pulp, material science etc)
Business experience in a related field
Ability to gather information from different areas, regions and sources in order to use it to support and defend decisions during strategic discussions.
Fluency in written and oral communication by English. Intermediate Spanish is desirable.
Experience in Project Management, analytical thinking, design thinking and open innovation, as well as good interpersonal skills are required.
