The Department of Social Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker III to join their team. This role is responsible for providing necessary support and services to enable disabled and elderly adults to safely live in the least restrictive environment possible.
Responsibilities include evaluating cases of abuse, neglect, and/or financial exploitation, conducting thorough social work assessments, and determining strengths and needs to develop service plans. The successful candidate will also be required to work with various social supports to ensure needs are being met, as well as provide court documentation and testimony when necessary.
Key Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent experience
* Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative superiors, families, and civic organizations
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely. A valid driver's license is also required for this role.
This position requires occasional travel and may involve working in a moderately noisy location.
