The Prime Services Risk Engineering team cover multiple facets of risk management associated with margin financing and clearing services. Our engineers design and implement a suite of critical applications used to calculate risk and margin.
The Analytics Risk Engineering team architects and maintains the Prime Risk data pipeline, encompassing aggregation across multiple business lines, ingestion, historical storage within Snowflake, and provision of data services. Collaborating closely with risk managers, the team develops data analytics and tooling that supports their daily risk management workflows. The platform leverages a broad range of technologies, including Java, Python, Snowflake, microservices architecture, React, Kubernetes and firm's proprietary language - Slang/SecDB.
As a key full-stack developer of the team, you will be at the forefront of various revenue-protection technology builds and working in a fast-paced changing environment. You will collaborate with internal Risk Managers, Strats and other engineering teams to design and implement technical solutions to support various businesses. You will have the opportunity to learn about the variety of asset classes and business lines we support. You will be involved in every aspect of the software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements, designing technical solutions, software implementation, testing, production release through to post migration support.
We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, driven to learn about business and technology, have strong sense of ownership, analytical skills and keen to contribute new ideas to improve the platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and/or a related field.
The successful candidate
* Will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to meet business needs and will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable and scalable systems;
* Is expected to participate in the entire software development life cycle and work on multiple programming languages and technologies.
Skills and Experiences we are looking for:
* Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above in Computer Science, Technology or a related technical discipline required;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Exposure to object oriented and/or functional design/development;
* Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design for scale performance;
* Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data driven decisions;
* Comfortable multi-tasking, working with multiple programming languages and managing multiple stakeholders;
* Strong team player who can work as part of a global team efficiently.
