We are looking for a Project Manager to work at our Morumbi office.
Job Purpose:
Project managers direct the planning and execution of a project and personally commit to its success. They nurture the project to meet its objectives. The role involves setting scope, developing project plans, business cases, and tactical execution plans aligned with business and departmental strategies, ensuring successful delivery of the project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering the project on time, within scope, and on or below budget. They must ensure compliance with AkzoNobel Policies and Procedures for projects. The Project Manager works closely with the Project Lead to:
* Prepare and create the project plan
* Execute the project plan
* Handover the results and close the project
* Manage stakeholders effectively and deliver value to the customer
* Define and negotiate project objectives, deliverables, and roles with outsourced partners
* Conduct project meetings to monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues
* Promote best practices in project management through mentoring and leadership
* Organize post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement of project management methodologies
* Manage relationships with sponsors, team members, and stakeholders
Education:
* Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related analytical field
* Certifications such as PMI/PMP, IPMA, or Prince2 are desirable
Experience:
* Proficiency in English (required), with daily contact with global teams
* Spanish language skills (preferred)
Specific knowledge:
* Stakeholder management skills
* Planning and organizational skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* People management skills, with the ability to motivate large teams
* Effective communication skills with various groups within the organization
