Role Description
We are hiring a Middle to Senior PHP Backend Developer to join MAPRO, a growing SaaS platform focused on the vacation rental and property management market in the United States.
This position is 100% remote and open to applicants anywhere who are fluent in English and available during US Eastern time commercial hours.
What you will do
* Develop and maintain backend features using Go and PHP
* Build and maintain APIs and integrations
* Improve system performance, scalability and reliability
* Collaborate on system architecture and technical decisions
* Support DevOps related tasks and infrastructure improvements

What we expect
* 5+ years of professional experience developing production-grade software
* Strong backend development skills
* Experience with APIs and integrations
* Comfortable working with Linux and development tooling
* Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
* Good technical English reading and writing skills
* Availability to work aligned with US Eastern Time
* Great communication skills
* DevOps experience (CI/CD, Docker, cloud services)
* Good understanding of basic networking protocols (HTTP, TLS, DNS, SSH, etc)
Nice to have
* Experience with distributed systems and patterns
* Previous experience working with fully remote teams
* Understanding of database systems internals
* JS/TypeScript/React UI experience
