Climate Campaign Lead
The Brazil Program is a strategic partnership between C40 Cities and the Global Covenant of Mayors, funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies. The program aims to accelerate climate action across Brazilian cities, unlocking delivery at scale by identifying and preparing high-impact projects.
Responsibilities:
* Develop campaign strategies to support urban climate policies in Brazil.
* Lead on political analysis, landscape mapping, and leadership roles to drive forward climate action.
* Collaborate with city teams, partners, and agencies to deliver effective campaign actions.
* Design and implement tools for campaign activations and rapid response interventions.
* Provide guidance on breaking down internal silos and aligning cross-functional functions.
* Work closely with external engagement teams to develop knowledge products and best practices sharing.
* Facilitate exchange of best practices and scalable campaign tools development.
Required Experience:
* Fluency in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
* Deep knowledge of regional, national, and local contexts.
* Experience working with local governments to navigate political and public engagement.
* Successful track record of campaign strategy design and implementation.
* Strong motivation to work in the climate space.
* Proven track record of consulting and collaborating with global partners.
Key Qualifications:
* Campaign experience in transport, waste, forestry, and agro-industry sectors.
* Knowledge of Brazil's national climate programs.
* Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
* Comfortable working in matrix environments and remote settings.
