About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits of business controls, financial records, and operational efficiency. They will examine departmental records, interview individuals, and provide assurance about ministry operations, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Advocate for child protection and prioritize considerations in all decision-making and tasks.
* Perform audits to review supporting documents and communicate findings to management.
* Analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, excessiveness, wastefulness, fraud, or non-compliance with laws and regulations.
* Travel to project sites to audit operational and financial systems, administration records, accountability procedures, staffing, planning, budgets, specific key result indicators, legal compliance, and general management practices.
* Examine and document risks, internal processes, and related controls during the audit fieldwork.
* Cover programs against documented standards and sound control practices, utilizing a consultative partnership approach to help partners uncover issues and implement corrective action.
* Coach and provide expertise to other auditors.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Audit, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Three years' experience working in this or a related field.
* Intermediate-advanced English skills.
* Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel at an intermediate-advanced level.
* Knowledge of system management and local laws.
* Experience managing personnel and conflicts of interest.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
* May require up to 40% travel.
