Malware Research and Analysis Internship
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our research team as a malware analysis intern.
About the Role
This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence. You will be working closely with our experienced researchers to develop your skills and knowledge in these areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Support research projects by analyzing malware samples, developing processes, and defining priorities.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of malicious code, including Windows PE, .Net, OLE2, JS, VBS, HTML, PDF, SWF, and ELF files.
* Develop and maintain knowledge of various malware types, including mobile device security and mobile malware, statistical analysis, methods of protection against threats, security best practices, polymorphic malware, rootkits/bootkits, and non-standard threats.
* Participate in the development of unit's recommended practices and standards, assumes responsibility for accomplishing group goals.
* Suggest ideas to be implemented in company's products, prototyping development; imagine and develop prototypes or new detection technologies.
* Present about IT security to wide audiences (customers, internal sales, etc.).
Requirements and Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
2. Strong desire to learn on your own and share research with teammates.
3. Interest in malware analysis and security research.
4. Knowledge of x86/x64 Intel Assembly (at least 1 year).
5. Basic knowledge of WinAPI.
6. Using IDA Disassembler, HIEW, OllyDbg, or Windbg to analyze PE files (at least 1 year).
7. Executable file analysis skills in a hexadecimal editor (Hiew, 010, etc...).
8. Good communication skills; work with developers, analysts, researchers, marketing, PR, sales (etc.) using
