At Takeda, how we deliver our strategy is just as important as what we deliver.ACCOUNTABILITIES:As a Takeda Leader, the Head of E&C is a member of the South Cone Leadership Team responsible for leading the business in alignment with our Values of Takeda-ism (Integrity, Fairness, Honesty, and Perseverance) and ensuring decisions and actions are based on Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business (“PTRB”), in that order.As a member of the Global Ethics & Compliance Team, the Head of E&C is responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the Takeda Ethics & Compliance strategy across the South Cone (Argentina and Chile), includingCatalyzing a Values-Based Culture and shaping the organizational mindset around the PTRB to firmly embed ethical decision-making principlesEducating and enabling the team (e.g., through Policy and SOP implementation, Training and Communications)Managing risk by supporting identification, assessing likelihood and impact, facilitating risk tolerance decisions, approving mitigation plans for high-risk activities and executing the monitoringHandling issues that arise (e.g., from audits or complaints), conducting investigations and ensuring remediations are well implementedRepresenting Takeda externally by participating in relevant local industry association meetings and initiativesAs the Head, responsible for managing the South Cone E&C team and ensuring appropriate E&C coverage for the Cluster and each of the LOCs.Critical functional knowledge:Familiarity with key laws, regulations and industry standards including but not limited to Bribery and Corruption, Privacy, Sanctions, Anti-trust, Promotional compliance, Third-Party Risk Management)Familiarity with the EFPIA Code of Practice and the local industry codes across South ConeUnderstanding of key culture concepts values-based decision making, psychological safety, speak upUnderstanding of the core elements of an effective compliance program and the latest regulatory / enforcement agency guidance (e.g., US DOJ/OIG, EFPIA, IFPMA)Understanding principles of risk management identification, assessment and mitigationUnderstanding of the Pharma product life cycle and go-to-market models (e.g., access, distribution, real-world evidence, etc)Critical business expertise:Significant expertise in conducting internal and external confidential investigation in region across a wide range of issues, including fraud, anticorruption, conflicts of interest, environmental health and safety, procurement, finance and human resourcesNature of Impact:Indirect impact to South Cone P&L by addressing risk and identifying mitigation plan to ensure business continuityCommunication Skills:Excellent downwards communication skills to attract, lead and motivate talents and align them with global strategy and visionExcellent upwards communication skills to drive program excellence, engage functional partners, and work closely with South Cone Area HeadCAPABILITIES:Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience (at least 10 years)Ethics & Compliance program implementation and execution experience (at least 10 years)Leadership experience (i.e., a member of a leadership team)Risk management experience (i.e., leading or a member of a cross-functional team to manage risks identify, assess and define mitigations)People management and talent development experienceExperience working in multi-functional, multi-cultural teams>3 years of standard-setting performance in this role or a comparable roleCRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS & KEY CHALLENGES:Solution-orientedCollaborative / consultativeMindset of curiosity, learning agility and interest in innovative ways of doing thingsActive listener, ability to understand / incorporate different perspectivesAdaptive to changeACADEMIC BACKGROUND:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a strong background and experience in a life-sciences industry companyMBA preferredFluent English (and Spanish) speaker to ensure effective communication across the region and to GlobalLocations:ARG - Av Libertador 7208, piso 14Worker Type:EmployeeWorker Sub-Type:RegularTime Type:Full timeSeniority levelSeniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionLegalIndustriesPharmaceutical ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Takeda by 2xGet notified about new Head of Compliance jobs in Greater Buenos Aires.Senior Tax Technologist - Indirect and Withholding TaxesWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
