Cloud Operations Manager
Job Overview
The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operation and continuous optimization of the company's cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring the stability, security, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of the cloud environment. This role supports the high availability of business systems and the implementation of the cloud strategy through operations management, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Environment Operations and Management
Responsible for the daily operation and management of public/private/hybrid cloud environments
Ensuring high availability, performance, and stability of the cloud platform
Managing cloud resource configuration, changes, and capacity planning
2. Availability, Monitoring, and Incident Management
Establishing and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
Managing incidents, problems, and root cause analysis (RCA) in the cloud environment
Developing and practicing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
3. Security and Compliance
Collaborating with the security team to implement cloud security policies (permissions, network, encryption, etc.)
Ensuring the cloud environment complies with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies
Managing vulnerabilities, patches, and configuration compliance
4. Cost and Resource Optimization (FinOps)
Monitoring and analyzing cloud costs, driving resource optimization and cost control
Establishing cloud cost allocation and budget management mechanisms
Collaborating with business and finance teams to improve cloud resource utilization efficiency
5. Automation and Continuous Improvement
Promoting Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated operations, and self-service capabilities
Optimizing operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability
Supporting the implementation of DevOps/SRE practices
6. Team and Vendor Management
Managing the cloud operations team, responsible for personnel planning, training, and performance management
Coordinating with cloud service providers and third-party vendors
Managing cloud operations-related budgets and contracts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in IT operations or cloud-related fields
Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and systematic analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud management
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture
Cloud, DevOps, or security-related certifications
Experience with FinOps or cost management practices
