Key Business Development Role
This is a pivotal position in our organization, focusing on strategic business relationships and mergers & acquisitions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong partnerships with software company decision makers, M&A advisors, and private equity/venture capital professionals.
The primary objective of this role is to establish and nurture meaningful connections that ultimately lead to the acquisition of software companies. This process involves initiating relationships, maintaining them over time, and making strategic acquisitions.
To achieve success, the ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales or a client-facing M&A/finance role within business development, sales, and/or account management.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and managing an M&A pipeline through CRM systems
* Creating market maps to build strong relationships in assigned software industry verticals
* Meeting and exceeding monthly M&A targets, such as meaningful contacts and measurable sourcing KPIs
Key qualifications for this position include:
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills
* Executive presence to interact with CEOs, M&A advisors, corporate development, private equity, and venture capital professionals
* Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work variable hours
