**THE ROLE**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Lead the budgeting process and provide financial forecasts to guide business decisions and strategic planning.
- Ensure effective management of the company’s cash flow to maintain liquidity and support business operations
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, and provide actionable insights to senior management
- Manage and mentor the finance and people team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional and global teams
- Communicate financial performance and strategy clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to drive operational efficiency
- Work with local advisors to manage and oversee the company’s tax strategy, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and other taxes
- Oversee employee-related operations such as payroll, benefits, compensation, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in Brazil.
**Requirements**:
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CA/CPA/ACCA/CRC or equivalent is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in finance, including at least 2 years leading a finance function, preferably within the SaaS or technology sector
- Experience working in a multinational and/or scaleup environment is advantageous
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams
- Proven ability to align financial strategies with broader business objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting financial insights to senior leadership
- Experience ensuring compliance with local regulations and tax laws
- Availability for hybrid work (3 days in the office and 2 days remote) in São Paulo (near MASP)
