Job Title: Patent Paralegal Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Paralegal Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our intellectual property department, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing patent filing requests.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
* Work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of all requests.
* Proactively initiate the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Monitor assigned cases and ensure that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* SUCCESSFUL track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
Key Skills and Abilities
This role requires excellent organizational, leadership, and management abilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications, as well as significant experience managing complex projects.
Working Hours and Location
This is a full-time, remote position. Working hours will be in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). Candidates must be able to commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
