Job Description:
Tax Manager - Key Responsibilities
* The Tax Manager will oversee direct and indirect taxes, ensuring compliance with current legislation and optimizing the tax burden.
* Prepare and file timely and accurate tax returns (direct and indirect taxes), including PIS/COFINS, ICMS, ISS, IRPJ/CSLL, etc.
* Monitor tax compliance processes and work closely with internal accounting and finance teams to meet tax obligations.
* Manage federal, state, and municipal tax audits, coordinating documentation and liaising with auditors and tax authorities.
* Analyze changes in Brazilian tax legislation and assess potential business impacts, providing recommendations for compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; advanced degree or CPA certification preferred.
* Solid experience in direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance, and tax planning.
* Knowledge in Transfer Pricing and attendance to external audits.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with different stakeholders.
Language:
* Fluent in Portuguese (native proficiency).
* Fluent in English (written & spoken) – must liaise with global teams.
