Key Responsibilities
1 Maximize database performance to meet strict service level agreements
2 Analyze execution plans and recommend indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies
3 Collaborate with database administrators to validate and implement tuning recommendations
4 Oversee extract, transform, and load workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data quality
5 Leverage cloud services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DMS) for ingestion, transformation, and storage
6 Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering excellence and continuous improvement
7 Communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
Required Skills
* 7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise-scale environments
* Expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism
* Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
* Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
* Experience in data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
* Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring and technical guidance
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs, technical teams, and business stakeholders
* Fluent in English
