Job Title: Blockchain Engineering Manager
At Pointsville, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated leader to join our globally distributed team of innovators, builders, and thinkers. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving execution, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering a high-performance culture that delivers reliable, scalable, and high-quality products aligned with our strategic goals.
As a Blockchain Engineering Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate product roadmaps into engineering execution plans, manage delivery timelines, resources, and technical dependencies to ensure on-time releases, and proactively identify and remove blockers to ensure team productivity and alignment.
Responsibilities:
* Product Strategy and Planning:
o Lead, coach, and mentor engineers across multiple technical domains.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
o Support career growth, performance management, and professional development.
o Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and building a diverse, high-performing team.
* Execution and Delivery:
o Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
o Partner with the CTO and Product Manager to translate product roadmaps into engineering execution plans.
o Manage delivery timelines, resources, and technical dependencies to ensure on-time releases.
o Proactively identify and remove blockers, ensuring team productivity and alignment.
* Performance and Improvement:
o Establish and enforce engineering best practices across code quality, smart contract security, and infrastructure reliability.
o Ensure scalability, security, and performance in blockchain and microservice-based environments.
o Drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices (IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing).
o Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies, protocols, and DeFi developments to guide innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Qualifications & Experience:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
o 7+ years of software development experience, including 6+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
o Familiarity with blockchains such as Ethereum and other blockchains preferred.
o Software engineering background in frontend and backend services development.
o An understanding of microservice architecture and cloud-based deployments.
o Experience in modern software development practices such as infrastructure as code, test automation, CI/CD and containerization.
o Proven success leading technical teams through the full product lifecycle in Agile or startup environments.
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Preferred Qualifications:
o DeFi trading experience.
