Overview
The Senior Podcast Audio and Video Editor leads the transformation of long-form B2B podcast content into performance-driven, multi-platform media assets. This role combines technical expertise with creative judgment and strategic awareness. The editor ensures all audio and video content is of high quality, optimized for platform-specific engagement, and aligned with marketing and storytelling goals. The individual is self-directed, thrives on deadlines, collaborates cross-functionally, and adapts based on feedback. They should have a portfolio demonstrating the ability to create compelling content for platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end editing for long-form episodes and short-form cutdowns, ensuring quality and narrative cohesion
Extract key moments from raw interviews to craft attention-grabbing shorts for social platforms
Apply advanced editing techniques including multi-camera sync, sound design, color grading, and motion graphics
Collaborate with content and marketing teams to align editing with campaign goals and platform strategies
Stay updated on platform best practices for discoverability and engagement
Use performance metrics to refine editing strategies over time
Maintain post-production workflows using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Pro Tools, and Audition
Meet fast-paced deadlines while managing multiple projects
Collaborate with other editors and freelancers, maintaining style consistency
Recommend new tools or workflows to improve efficiency and creative output
Qualifications
4+ years of professional podcast/video editing experience, including B2B content
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools
Experience editing for YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram with measurable KPIs
Strong storytelling, pacing, sound design, and motion design skills in a B2B context
Attention to detail from waveform cleanup to final rendering
Ability to interpret audience metrics to improve future content
Experience working remotely with marketing and technical teams
Mentoring experience is a plus
Highly organized with strong communication skills under pressure
Availability during U.S. EST business hours
