Patent Project Manager
A successful Patent Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing patent filing requests. They will work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure that all requests are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
This role involves coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities, as well as significant experience managing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications
* Initiating responses to official communications and notifications
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant
* Monitoring assigned cases and ensuring timely completion of related deadlines
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* SUCCESSFUL TRACK RECORD OF COLLABORATION WITH DIVERSE STAKEHOLDERS
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations
About this Role:
This is a full-time, remote position with working hours in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). Candidates must be able to commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role, as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
