Job Summary:
We are hiring a proactive and technically strong L2 Application Support Engineer to support FICC front-office applications in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently within SLA
* Perform deep root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
* Raise and manage incidents, assess business impact, and communicate updates to stakeholders
* Create and track problem tickets, working closely with Development teams to drive permanent resolution
* Escalate complex issues to L3 and management when required
* Debug and fix defects in the existing codebase
* Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
* Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and Infrastructure teams
Mandatory Requirements:
* Good Knowledge on object oriented programming experience (Java, C++, Python, etc)
* Experience in L2 Application Support
* Development experience (preferred or combined with support)
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset
* Ability to manage incidents independently and stay proactive throughout the day
* Good understanding of application flow, logs, databases, and system integrations
* Ability to work in a high-pressure front-office environment
Good to have:
* Unix/ Linux
* SQL/database understanding.
