Beyond writing pipelines, you'll be deeply invested in understanding how data drives our business and empowers our teams, ensuring that every solution you build delivers clarity and impact.
You'll work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to design scalable, reliable, and high-quality data systems that become the foundation for insights and decision-making across Handoff.What You'll Do• Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow.
• Develop data models across the Medallion Architecture layers to support analytics and reporting.
• Optimize SQL queries for large datasets in AWS Athena and other relational systems.
• Build and maintain dashboards and BI workflows using Metabase.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Analytics teams to define startup metrics and KPIs.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and reproducibility across the data warehouse/lake.
• Establish best practices for data engineering and analytics.About You• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong SQL expertise with experience tuning queries and designing efficient schemas.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with AWS services, especially Athena, S3 and Glue.
• Experience building analytics dashboards with Metabase or similar BI tools.
• Understanding of Medallion Architecture and layered data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of startup/product metrics and how to translate them into analytics workflows.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ETL tasks.
