Naval Hospital GuamMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSDegree: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in outpatient and inpatient pharmacy, including ICU, Med/Surg, NICU, Pediatric, and sterile compounding.Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.U.S.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.English Language Requirement: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively for communication with patients and healthcare providers.Physical Capability: Able to stand and/or sit for extended periods and perform all required services.DUTIESPerform a full range of pharmacist procedures.Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the facility's capabilities.Counsel patients on medication use.Review patient profiles at dispensing to monitor medication therapy.Ensure prescription accuracy regarding directions, doses, interactions, allergies, age-specific dosages, and intervene for discrepancies.Compound medications as needed.Ensure accuracy of pharmaceutical preparations and supervise inventory control, especially for scheduled pharmaceuticals, maintaining proper records and security according to regulations.HOURSServices are required from Sunday to Saturday, between 0000 and 2359 hours, typically scheduled in six 12.5-hour shifts and one 8.5-hour shift.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLSMust be adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to reprioritize quickly, work on multiple projects, and demonstrate teamwork, time management, and deadline management skills.
