We’re Hiring: Firewall Engineer (L3 Support – F5 Technologies)
We are looking for a skilled Firewall Engineer to provide L3-level support from a nearshore location in Latin America, with a strong focus on F5 technologies. This role involves operational support, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of F5 devices and related security infrastructure.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support F5 BIG-IP platforms (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM as applicable)
- Perform L3 troubleshooting for application delivery, load balancing, and firewall-related issues
- Implement configuration changes, policy updates, and SSL certificate management
- Analyze traffic flows and security events to ensure optimal performance and protection
- Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for F5-related issues
- Support automation or scripting tasks for configuration consistency (e.G., Python, iControl REST)
- Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with network and security teams to support enterprise-wide initiatives
✅ Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP modules
- Deep understanding of L4–L7 traffic flows, TCP/IP, and application delivery
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently at an L3 level
- Experience working in remote/nearshore support models
