This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll mentor developers, set technical standards, and still contribute code at a high level. If you're passionate about architecting scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and leading with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, we'd love to hear from you.Responsibilities• Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to drive technical excellence• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines for maintainability and security• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and deliverables• Oversee hosting and infrastructure (Kinsta, WPEngine, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, SquareSpace) to ensure performance, uptime, and security• Design, build, and maintain custom WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow websites• Implement and manage technical and on-page SEO best practices (Core Web Vitals, schema, site speed optimization)• Troubleshoot complex issues across browsers and devices while staying up to date on emerging web technologiesNice to Have • Experience with A/B testing tools (VWO, OptinMonster, UserPilot)• Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)• Familiarity with headless CMS architectures• Knowledge of RESTful API design and developmentRequirements• Proven experience Managing and leading a Web Development team or similar leadership role with a track record of delivering successful projects• Deep expertise in WordPress development and strong command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)• Strong understanding of technical SEO and on-page SEO practices• Experience with hosting platforms, domain management, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, GSC, GTM)• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders• A proactive, dynamic, and positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities• A strong portfolio showcasing your past web development workSalary & Benefits$3,500-$4,500USD per month/depending on your location and skills/experience15 Days Paid Time Off + Christmas Day + New Year's Day Paid OffThis position is paid in USD, which is approximately R$18,600–R$24,000 BRL depending on the current exchange rate.
