About the Company:
Sagan represents a fast-growing U.S.-based home services company that specializes in residential field operations. The team values operational excellence, high attention to detail, and proactive support in HR and recruiting as they scale across regions. You'll be working closely with leadership to support a team of technicians and internal staff with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and compliance support.
Position Overview:
We're looking for a bilingual HR & Recruiting Generalist to help drive our end-to-end hiring process, employee onboarding, compliance tracking, and benefits support. The ideal candidate has experience recruiting field technicians, administering HR systems like Gusto, and handling employee questions in both English and Spanish. This is a cross-functional role that blends people operations, recruiting, and administrative compliance in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source and manage candidates through platforms like Indeed.
* Conduct bilingual interviews for technician roles (English & Spanish).
* Coordinate interviews with internal hiring managers.
* Draft and send offer letters, employment contracts, and assessments.
Onboarding & Employee Setup
* Own the onboarding process from documentation to systems setup.
* Track and manage compliance training and paperwork.
* Maintain the Employee Handbook and internal policies.
* Set up new hires in Gusto (payroll, benefits, etc.).
HR Administration
* Maintain employee records with an eye toward U.S. compliance standards.
* Verify timesheets and audit payroll data.
* Flag overtime or attendance anomalies for review.
* Act as a point-of-contact for benefits questions and claims.
People Operations
* Support performance review cycles and probationary tracking.
* Track employee leave (vacation, sick, etc.).
* Maintain HR metrics and survey data.
Qualifications:
* 2–4+ years of HR and recruiting experience for blue-collar or field service roles.
* Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
* Strong working knowledge of onboarding processes and HR compliance basics.
* Experience using Gusto, Notion, and Google Sheets (or similar tools).
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience hiring U.S.-based home service or home improvement contractor companies.
* Familiarity with labor compliance in the U.S. (especially California or similar states).
* Experience with benefits coordination or liaising with insurance brokers.
