To support SDG implementation at the territorial level, UNDP Brazil has established organizational units and offices to strengthen partnerships with states and municipalities, promoting inclusive governance and human development through integrated, territorial approaches. Duties and Responsibilities Under supervision of the Bahia State Project Office Coordinator and guidance of the Territorial Development and Decentralized Cooperation Advisor, the Project Associate will support the implementation of the territorial development portfolio, especially the Bahia State projects. Responsibilities include monitoring project actions, identifying and solving problems, providing technical support, preparing work and procurement plans, organizing review meetings, monitoring project progress, and supporting project reporting and documentation. The role involves executing activities to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively. Institutional Arrangement Direct supervisor: Bahia State Project Office Coordinator Overall supervision: Decentralized Cooperation, SDG and Territorial Development Advisor Competencies Key competencies include achieving results, thinking innovatively, learning continuously, adapting with agility, acting with determination, engaging and partnering, and fostering diversity and inclusion. Technical skills required include partnership management, data analysis, digital business analysis, budget management, knowledge facilitation, and project management. Skills and Experience Minimum education: Secondary education required; university degree in relevant fields preferred. Experience: At least 7 years (secondary education) or 4 years (bachelor's degree) in administration or project support, especially in territorial development or decentralized cooperation. Skills: Excellent communication, computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and experience with management systems. Desirable experience includes working with public sector partners, UNDP, web systems, international projects, and SDG initiatives at local levels.
