About the Company
Our client is a US-based AI startup building production AI agents for marketing workflows (SEO, social media, email). The team is led by experienced founders with backgrounds at Meta, Google, and Scale AI.
This is a product engineering role, not research. You’ll build AI agents that ship, scale, and are used by real customers.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on AI Product Engineer who can own features end-to-end: frontend, backend, and AI logic.
You will build AI agents inside real products, not demos — working closely with the CTO and founders to design, implement, and iterate quickly.
What You’ll Do
* Build AI-powered product features using React (frontend) and Django (backend)
* Implement LLM-based agents that perform real business workflows
* Design and maintain RAG pipelines (retrieval, chunking, embeddings, evaluation)
* Integrate third-party APIs, web scraping, and internal data sources
* Own features from idea → production → iteration
* Make pragmatic technical decisions in a fast-moving startup environment
Must-Have Requirements
* 6+ years total engineering experience
* 4+ years of professional experience as a software / product engineer
* 2+ years working with LLMs, AI agents, or generative AI systems
* Strong hands-on experience with React (frontend) and Django (backend)
* Proven experience building AI agents or LLM-powered features used in production
Solid understanding of RAG systems, including:
* Retrieval quality tradeoffs
* Chunking strategies
* Hallucination risks and mitigation
* Comfortable working without heavy frameworks or abstractions
* Able to explain technical decisions clearly, concretely, and concisely
* Startup mindset: moves fast, owns outcomes, and ships
* Experience with Pinecone, pgvector, or similar vector databases
* Web scraping, data ingestion pipelines, or third-party API integrations
* Prior experience in marketing, SEO, or growth-related products
