About the Client
This position will support one of our clients that is a global leader in the oil and gas industry, within their Global Trading division.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborates and pairs with product team members (UX, engineering, product management, and quantitative analytics) to develop scalable and high-performance applications
* Develops and maintains full stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies
* Works closely with the Quantitative Analytics team to build data products, models, and visualizations
* Contributes to code quality, organization, and automation practices across the team
* Designs and implements robust, scalable back-end services and APIs
* Builds responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern frameworks
* Ensures performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices across applications
* Supports database development, including design, optimization, and maintenance
* Contributes to data pipeline development and supports data-driven decision-making
* Collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions
* Adapts to changing priorities and manages workload in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of professional software development experience
* Strong experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular
* Strong back-end development experience using Node.js, Python, or similar languages
* Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
* Experience building, operating, and supporting robust and performant databases and data pipelines
* Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization techniques
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Understanding of web performance optimization, security, and best practices
* Ability to collaborate effectively and strong communication skills
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
* Advanced English required
* Understanding of market data, trading systems, and financial instruments
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* Experience with Databricks and Snowflake
* Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (React preferred)
* Full-stack development experience
