Direct Response Video Editor Position
We are seeking a skilled video editor to join our team and produce high-quality, direct response ads that drive conversions.
The ideal candidate will have experience editing for DTC/eCommerce brands, particularly in the beauty, health, or supplements industry. They will be proficient in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects, with a strong understanding of Meta/YouTube Shorts specs and algorithm-friendly editing patterns.
Responsibilities include:
* Transforming raw creator footage, UGC clips, and b-roll into persuasive short-form ads (15-90 seconds) and VSLs that convert cold traffic into buyers.
* Crafting hooks that stop thumbs in the first 3 seconds using pattern interrupts, bold claims, visual glitches, kinetic typography, callout graphics, progress bars, and emoji reactions.
* Optimizing pacing for platform algorithms (Meta 9:16, YouTube Shorts) and A/B testing visual approaches based on performance data.
* Partnering with our Creative Strategist to test new concepts weekly and pivoting based on real-time campaign data.
Requirements:
* Fluent English fluency (hard requirement).
* 2+ years editing experience for DTC/eCommerce brands.
* Portfolio demonstrating direct response ads that drove conversions.
* Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve + After Effects.
* Deep understanding of Meta/YouTube Shorts specs and algorithm-friendly editing patterns.
Preferred qualifications include motion design skills (After Effects, Cinema 4D), experience editing short-form VSLs (2-3+ minutes), long-form VSLs (25+ minutes), and familiarity with CapCut, Descript, or AI editing tools.
