About the Manufacturing Systems Deployment Lead role:
**Additional Job Description**
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
- Hands-on manufacturing systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
- Supports and drives GM IT launch implementation initiatives
- Participates in functional area plant meetings and related functions to represent IT project management and to assist in meeting launch IT performance goals.
- Learns technical concepts and practices quickly
- Communicate issues to proper parties within affected departments
- Provides defined technical support and direction to support personnel within the organization
- Investigates IT system integration problems and provides technical input in problem resolution
- Works with Central office teams to promote common systems and best practices
- Assures common IT architecture for all new and revised tooling and equipment
- Communicates IT Launch requirements to the appropriate staffs and coordinates IT systems deployment activities with the plant business team
- Maintains good working relationships with peers, hourly, union, management, supplier community and interfaces with necessary support functions inside and outside of the plant
- Mechanical/Electrical aptitude with the ability to grasp complex systems easily
- Ability to multitask in a highly flexible environment
- Develops and monitors planning timetables and project schedules
- Reports planning progress to all departments impacted
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to take highly technical discussions to the appropriate level to foster proper understanding to drive decisions and forward progress
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional work ethic with the ability to multi-task under limited supervision
- Understand business processes and how underlying systems and technologies enable processes
- Adheres to an appropriate (for the setting) and effective set of core values and beliefs during good and bad times; acts in line with those values
- Responds and relates well to direction from multiple program management leadership sources.
- Enforces safe work practices as the highest priority and implements objectives for health/safety, and housekeeping
