Our team optimises the use of physical spaces, ensuring that we align with organisational goals. This can include defining and evolving our workplace strategy, managing office layouts, seating arrangements, meeting rooms and the associated services required to ensure the successful day-to-day operation of our facilities – including the physical assets such as furniture, equipment, and infrastructure.
About the role
As part of Reckitt’s strategic global plans for the future, we are looking for an experienced, proactive, innovative and focused individual for this new, exciting and very senior role within our organisation.
Reporting directly to the Global Director of Workplace, Facility Management and Real Estate, this Head of WFRE for LATAM region will be responsible, and take ownership, for all our operations. These consist of a number of manufacturing sites, R&D sites, and commercial offices.
The individual will be responsible for the strategic management and operation of all aspects of the workplace and facilities function, developing, with the Global Director, a workplace strategy for the future for that region.
Your responsibilities
• Support the design and review of global WFRE strategy, policies and guidelines (alongside the Global WFRE Director and other Heads of Region)
• Lead and drive change management within the organisation
• Identify staffing needs required to support the operation of the workplace and facilities environment
• Proactively plan and prepare business cases for projects involving renovations/relocations
• Manage Workplace Strategy and Design Management
• Formulate strategic relationships with vendors to drive efficiencies and deliver value-added services
• Develop and foster excellent internal and external communication
Real Estate
• Manage the property portfolio (Commercial/Offices, R&D, Supply if applicable).
• Manage key lease events, extracting value through commercial decisions. Understand leases, obligations, and inform stakeholders of clauses, risks, and liabilities.
• Oversee project management of all CAPEX investments (up to £20m) for the region, including large relocations, retrofits, and refurbishments.
• Collaborate with the Global Director of WFRE and Design & Construction Project Managers on construction/renovation projects.
• Work closely with finance to ensure budgets are aligned with regional/country/site strategies.
• Manage dilapidation obligations and ensure accurate financial reporting and appeals where necessary.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance to maximize cost savings and ensure efficient site delivery.
• Possess knowledge of property acquisition processes, building regulations, and risk identification.
• Manage external legal counsel on property legal matters.
• Participate in Real Estate Committee meetings, creating reports and seeking approvals.
• Oversee management of site data in Global Real Estate reporting tools.
Workplace and Facilities Management
• Oversee daily operations of sites, including soft services (FM, cleaning, reception, catering) and hard services (engineering, maintenance).
• Manage the FM budget (OPEX) to maintain service levels within budget.
• Liaise with Management Agents and Landlords to ensure SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with I&D and sustainability teams to promote best practices in the office environment.
The experience we're looking for
* Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
* Native or fluent in Portuguese, fluent in English, and advanced in Spanish
* Strong experience in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Projects, and Operations
* Proven planning and project management skills
* Problem-solving ability to identify and resolve issues
* Leadership and team motivation skills
* Experience with H&S, Energy Management, and sustainability
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
