Patent Paralegal Project Manager Role

This position involves overseeing and managing patent filing requests, working closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of requests within scope and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities include coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
This is a full-time, remote position with working hours in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). The ideal candidate must be able to commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
* Prepare all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Proactively initiate the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinate filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Maintain timely completion of assigned cases, ensuring that all related deadlines are met.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skills in training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skills in vendor recruitment and negotiations.
